Dale Steyn was applauded by his team mates after getting 5-wickets haul, India v South Africa, Group B, World Cup, Nagpur, March 12, 2011
South Africa clinched a fascinating victory by incredible chasing strategy in Nagpur. Jacques Kallis and Hashim Amla made the basis, AB de Villiers accelerated it, JP Duminy and Johan Botha pushed to nearby, and tail-enders Faf du Plessis and Robin Petersen shared an excellent final bang to snatch 3 wickets triumph over India. In the last over, Proteas needed 13-runs to finish the task; Dhoni had two options to hand over ball to the bowler, Harbhajan's 10-over quota lacks 1 over but he preferred seamer and Ashish Nehra delivered the final nerve holding over, but Petersen blasted with good hitting and faced only 4 balls to accomplish the mark of 297. In post-match presentation, MS Dhoni had burly words about that collapse: "You don't play for the crowd, you play for the country".
Indian openers exploded with fiery shots and in 18th over, they lost their first wicket of Sehwag when they were on 142, Tendulkar got another century of his career which was 48th, Indian batting derailed after the loss of openers, they lost 9 wickets in just 29 runs while faced 54 deliveries, Dhoni was unbeaten on 12 in 21 balls. South Africa played outstandingly in their innings; they hold the nerves while chasing a good total verses India in Nagpur packed with crowd. Dale Steyn was titled with Player of Match who achieved with 5-wickets haul in just 16 deliveries.
