Kevin Pietersen out from World Cup

Kevin Pietersen was devastated by his Hernia Problem
Kevin Pietersen has been ruled out of the World Cup due to his Hernia problem and will be forced to fly home immediately to endure surgery. He complained regarding of his soreness following an eight-over spell during England's six-run victory over South Africa in Chennai and Eoin Morgan will join the side as his replacement.
Pietersen's undergoing surgery means out of the World Cup and Indian Premier League (IPL), it was absolutely devastated for him. Morgan was called up for World Cup as he was initially ruled out of the tournament with broken finger. Pietersen will rest for around six weeks after surgery, but he is expected to return in action for the first Test of the home season against Sri Lanka in Cardiff on 26th May, 2011.
England had no spin option at Chennai wicket, so it was forced to Pietersen to deliver off-breaks against South Africa for their crucial triumph and the decicion to send him home was confirmed after the game. Pietersen had taken on an innovative role at the World Cup, have been promoted to open the batting alongside his skipper Strauss. He had been in good form during his first three innings with scores of 39, 31 and 59. Matt Prior, Ian Bell and Ravi Bopara are the options for England to open an innings with Andrew Strauss.
