Canada presented a good show at their finale at World Cup tournament against Aussies but they could not maintain their momentum to score with good run-rate of at least 5, Australia had taken full control when they bowled out skipper of Canadian side Ashish Bagai before Canada were 150 for 2 in 29th over. Australia ruled at top position of their group as they are unbeaten in World Cup to 34 matches. They were now eyeing at their next huge game against Pakistan, the most unpredictable side.
Canada batted well in their innings when skipper decided to bat first in Bangaluru. Patel and Davision blasted the Aussies seamers with their good hitting, but Davision could not continue it while he was caught behind facing the ball of Brett Lee. Surkari stood by with his partner Patel and shared 41-runs stand, but as Canadian ambushed Australian bowlers with the bat, Australian captain Ricky Ponting said that he wanted to win this match convincingly but it was not possible until the 29th over, Australia dominated after skipper backed to pavilion.
Shane Watson and Brad Haddin executed a 183-runs opening partnership and it was highest so far in ongoing tournament for Australia, Shane Watson was titled with Player of Match.
