India are very favorites as they are very good form since last two years and having good ranking in Test matches as well in ODIs. The mass of anticipation on the Indian cricket team, heavy at the best of times, has risen exponentially with the World Cup being held at home. MS Dhoni's response as captain, at his first official World Cup press conference on Thursday, was very usual.
Our main focus is on process and preparation and not other things like the exit of Gary Kirsten as Indian Coach, pressure is no more but we have a responsibility. Every team was a danger for us and we will try to show good performance, the Indian side had a very good mixture of experienced and young players so basically not winning the world cup is not the end of cricket world. A lot of hype is created around the World Cup but every series that the Indian team plays we have a lot of expectation. We are supposed to win the World Cup, the atmosphere was same in 2007, it won't be right to consider this as one of the final frontiers, it's one of the big tournaments, and the team needs to do well.
