International Cricket Council (ICC) has finalized Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore as the venue for the England vs India World Cup match that was originally assumed to be held in Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the schedule would be same as per it would be on 27th February.
Now ICC has also sketched out the pending work that has to be done to get Eden Gardens ready for the World Cup, because Eden Gardens Kolkata was originally allocated three other matches for the tournament and first one would be on 15th March. The ICC inspection team will visit one week before 15th of March to check the progress made before deciding for other three matches’ venues confirmation. The ICC has also rejected the request of BCCI to review the decision regarding the shifting the venue of the Group B match between India and England from Kolkata.Tuesday, February 1, 2011
