As ICC decided the next 50 over format world cup with 10 teams, many countries thumped the ICC's decision to expel Associates from the next World Cup, So Canada desperately needed to show up their best as Kenya were crushed by a modest New Zealand side today. Instead of their showcase of good performance, Sri Lanka inundated them by 210 runs that opened their World Cup campaign as their co-hosts India did well yesterday. Mahela Jayawardene stroked his fastest World Cup hundred and stand a 176 runs partnership with his skipper Kumar Sangakkara before Sri Lanka's bowlers squashed a helpless Canada side.
